I was just thinking about these two players yesterday. A commenter posited the existence of a baseball agent named Scott Borris. He was either unable to spell Scott Boras’ name or was conflating the names of Scott Boras and Jeff Borris. I’ll assume you know of Scott Boras. Jeff Borris is a partner at Beverly Hills Sports Council. Their most prominent current clients are Tim Lincecum, Hunter Pence, and Ringku Singh (not representing Lucknow in the WBC, according to a report from Old Gator). In the past, Borris has had clients such as Barry Bonds and Bret Saberhagen. Borris, along with Bobby Bonilla, also earned the undying gratitude of Mets fans when he negotiated Bonilla’s contract buyout which allowed them to free up payroll space to acquire key players who helped them win the 2000 NL pennant.
