Listen to Carl Pavano talk about rupturing his spleen

Feb 14, 2013, 5:17 PM EDT

Carl Pavano was a guest on MLB Network Radio and told the story of how he ruptured his spleen while shoveling his driveway, which led to having his spleen removed and losing 35 pounds.

It’s pretty crazy and you can listen to the interview via the player below:

Dap to my main man Parker Hageman for pointing out the audio clip.

Dropped 35 lbs! Must be off the PEDs. Right, Pearlman?

QMBA: can the shovel be considered a PED with all this weight loss? Hmmmmmm……

Craig, thanks for the link. An amazing story.
I have been at the front of the line in criticizing Carl “The American Idle” Pavano ever since he burned the Yankees and that $40 million contract. This is different. I’m glad the guy is still alive. Crazy how a simple fall on a snowly deck was almost fatal.
I’m actually rooting for him to pitch again. Funny how life is sometimes……

Oops. Thanks Aaron for the link not Craig. Sorry.

If that is the Karmic price, you can have my spleen for $40MM any day
