Of course you want to see a horror movie starring Brian McRae, Jim Leyritz and Billy Sample

Well, I did watch McRae’s 1999 season, Leyritz hit off Wohlers on the 1996 series (and his vehicular homicide trial) and almost every game Billy Sample did as a Braves TBS broadcaster in the 1980s, so I have already seen their horrors.
But this is different: an actual movie, currently in production, with those three former baseball great-, er, luminar-, er figures in supporting roles. The plot synopsis:
“A vigilante serial killer is stalking, killing and burying those he has judged guilty and anyone in this corrupt town could be next! Murder, Mayhem, Blood, Deception & NO way out are a few ways to describe this disturbing new heart pounding thrill ride.”

I enjoyed Billy Sample’s work on “Baseball Tonight” back when it started on ESPN. No nicknames, yelling, smarmy catchphrases, etc. Just highlights.

And the film was written by Billy Pepitone. His IMDB bio doesn’t mention it, but Joe does have a son named Billy Joe from his third marriage.
Baseball.

Billy and Joseph Pepitone, the writers credited with “Gravedigger” on imdb.com, are apparently the nephews of former Yankee Joe Pepitone. The brothers co-wrote a novel called “Soul of a Yankee: The Iron Horse, the Babe and the Battle for Joe Pepitone.” And now this.

Those eight Jays fans are each bringing over 3,200 dates to games. That’s impressive.
