He was great during the 2011 regular season when he got to hit behind a healthy Chase Utley and Ryan Howard, terrible in the 2011 postseason (.211 BA / .496 OPS), and mediocre at best when he had to be the man in 2012.

Really? Because I kinda remember him batting .210 the past two postseasons with an OPS of .516.

I don't hate Hunter Pence, I am just supremely disappointed he wasn't the .300/25/90 everyone expected. Instead we got an undisciplined hitter and below average fielder

Just enjoy Jared Cosart and Jonathan Singleton...once he's back from his 50 game suspension

exactly. this is another trend diet and laughable on how they sell it. it is healthy to eat the items on the "good foods" list for this diet plan but the avoidance of grains, legumes, dairy products, potatoes, refined salt, refined sugar, and processed oils is just plain ridiculous. processed sugars and oils i get. avoiding trans fats, corn syrup, etc. i get. but to not eat grains? legumes? dairy? potatoes? that is utter nonsense. our bodies can process these things just fine. sure lactose intolerance is common, but that is much different than the bs this diet claims.

everything in moderation is the only way to go: diet, exercise, reefer and booze

dont overdo any of these and you'll be just fine.

Death due to old age (i.e. system breakdowns, cancer, etc.) has never been that early for Homo sapiens (or any other species of Homo). If not killed by disease, starvation, physical injury, etc., most research indicates that people likely commonly lived to be 60+ years old before dying of natural causes. Yes, there is a reason that metabolism changes and that hormone levels change, but it isn't because you should be dead, but at a different stage in life (i.e. mostly done making and raising kids).

General idea: people evolved for four million years to only eat those things (i.e. food that hunter/gathering people ate) and thus food that is the product of agriculture and manufacturing is unnatural.

Yes well said people also generally had a life expectancy of only 25-30. Notice how our metabolism falls off sharply after 25? Mother nature didn't expect us to cheat with medication, agriculture, tehcnology, sanitation, etc. to extend our lifespans to nearly three times what the original homo-sapiens specifications called for.

Not saying it isn't healthy, it is very good for weight loss, but I find the whole: "Cavemen ate this thousands of years ago and they were fine" argument to sidestep quite a number of side issues.

Some people call it the caveman diet. Basically: lean meats, vegetables, eggs, nuts, some dairy. No grains/breads/carbs, processed foods or sugars. Usually no beans too, though many modify it to include beans.

General idea: people evolved for four million years to only eat those things (i.e. food that hunter/gathering people ate) and thus food that is the product of agriculture and manufacturing is unnatural.

Whatever the underpinnings of it, which whatever, it is a pretty healthy diet as far as weight loss and things because you basically are eating a shit-ton of vegetables if you're doing it right.
