Tweet of the Day: The Mets Intrasquad Game Edition

Feb 22, 2013, 12:31 PM EDT

Lots of Phillies bashing here today. Let’s make some equal time for the Mets:

Personally, I would much rather have a beat writer taking potshots at my team than one who is merely a front office mouthpiece. You Mets fans should consider yourself lucky to have Martino.

BURN. That was funny. Did you see Keith Law’s?

I don’t get the outrage over the Mets still paying Bobby Bonilla. He’s probably their best option in left field.

Sad thing is, the Mets made a bunch more money off that Bonilla money then they will ever pay out to him.

“They would then invest the money they owed the players with Madoff and make a profit across the many years of the contract payments.”

Mets made over $300 million from Madoff and only paid back $83 million of it.

That’s a bargain; it’s usually much more expensive to watch the Mets beat themselves.

That’s a poor choice of words.

    LETS GO METS!!!

Ask Law why he’s not still employed by the Jays. And Martino no one pays attention to anyway.

Funnily enough, he’s been asked that. He quit.

Can we have a reporter who is neither negative the first day of spring training or a mouthpiece? A better way to look at it is, “Mets guaranteed to win!”

  6. Chris Fiorentino - Feb 22, 2013 at 2:12 PM

    “Today”? LOL.

Phillies ticket lines for intrasquad game today…

Thank you. It always makes me happy to see people going to a baseball game.
