Miguel Cabrera and Adam Jones in a Rihanna tribute video of some sort? OK.

Feb 26, 2013, 9:55 AM EDT

Your daily dose of WTF, brought to you by the MLB Fan Cave people.

My only question: Do the Fan Cavers promise the players that their families will be released unharmed if they do these videos, or is it left an open question so as to inspire better performances?

I can’t watch unless I’m promised a healthy dose of Rihanna.

    the heck?

  5. indaburg - Feb 26, 2013 at 11:05 AM

I think the MLB Fan Cave folks have been smoking a little bit of the reefer.

    • historiophiliac - Feb 26, 2013 at 12:02 PM

That is the stupidest shit!!!!! Seriously grounds for cancelling that whole thing. Why would anyone want to watch any more of their work after seeing that? Holy crap!

  6. Old Gator - Feb 26, 2013 at 11:07 AM

Do they get to pass her around with Matt Kemp?

    • historiophiliac - Feb 26, 2013 at 12:05 PM

      Booooo!!!!!!

  7. stlouis1baseball - Feb 26, 2013 at 11:17 AM

That embarassed me. I mean it. This is also why I don’t watch American Idol. Or virtually any other “reality” tv series. I get embarassed. They could have at least had a shot of Rihanna at the end.
It would have certainly made it more palpable.

    • cur68 - Feb 26, 2013 at 11:35 AM

So. No Rihanna? Screw this. I’m not watching it. That Reality TV shit’ll harm your brain.

      • stlouis1baseball - Feb 26, 2013 at 11:48 AM

No doubt Cur. It will harm your brain and embarass you on behalf of your fellow man.

    • historiophiliac - Feb 26, 2013 at 12:04 PM

I don’t get that whole attraction myself.

      • indaburg - Feb 26, 2013 at 12:07 PM

        To Rihanna or American Idol?

      • historiophiliac - Feb 26, 2013 at 12:14 PM

Either. I don’t think she’s all that and I don’t watch reality shows. I watched Biggest Loser in the beginning, when it was about actually losing weight. I felt happy for those people (even then though you had to sit through annoying crap to get to the good parts). Then it became a game and I stopped.

      • indaburg - Feb 26, 2013 at 12:23 PM

Rihanna is a guy thing, I think. If you wanted to see my dad happy, all you had to do is put on the video for “Rude Boy.”

I don’t watch them either, but I did watch The Next Knuckler. That was kind of a reality show.

      • historiophiliac - Feb 26, 2013 at 12:51 PM

I get the thing for some female singers. She’s just totally lost on me.

      • indaburg - Feb 26, 2013 at 1:04 PM

She has a good body. Being vertically challenged, I wouldn’t mind having legs as long as hers. Plus, she has questionable taste in men, so I think most guys think they might have a chance.

      • historiophiliac - Feb 26, 2013 at 1:07 PM

Hey, now, Matt Kemp’s grandparents. mmmmmm

How tall is she? I’m not saying I don’t get that she’s attractive. She just doesn’t seem extra special, I guess. As I say, just kinda lost on me.

      • indaburg - Feb 26, 2013 at 1:22 PM

She’s 5’8″. (I swear I had to look it up.)

      • historiophiliac - Feb 26, 2013 at 1:29 PM

Well, then, I could take her!

/throws air punches and looks tough

      • stlouis1baseball - Feb 26, 2013 at 12:09 PM

        Reality TV or Rihanna?

      • stlouis1baseball - Feb 26, 2013 at 1:31 PM

She has that exotic kind of sexiness.
But by the same token…I see where you are coming from.
Not drop dead gorgeous. Like Charlize Theron.
And I have seen some photo’s when Rihanna was shit faced. Not the best look on anyone.

      • historiophiliac - Feb 26, 2013 at 1:41 PM

Yeah, I just think there are a lot of others out there just as pretty (and more talented). Perhaps it’s the skank angle, but I won’t ask you gentlemen to go there. lol

      • indaburg - Feb 26, 2013 at 2:01 PM

She’s a very kinky girl. The kind you don’t take home to mother.

      • historiophiliac - Feb 26, 2013 at 2:02 PM

        I’m not judging you.

      • historiophiliac - Feb 26, 2013 at 2:54 PM

Does the name Spanky Johnson mean anything to you?

      • indaburg - Feb 26, 2013 at 3:31 PM

        No, I’m afraid not.

      • historiophiliac - Feb 26, 2013 at 3:35 PM

Y’all kill me. You really do. smh

      • indaburg - Feb 26, 2013 at 4:13 PM

That was from the movie! Wasn’t that the sergeant’s response?

      • historiophiliac - Feb 26, 2013 at 4:23 PM

ha ha You threw me b/c usually no one gets it…Sheriff Pike. :)

      • unclemosesgreen - Feb 26, 2013 at 5:35 PM

Uhhh – as a man I just have to weigh in on Rihanna. The music is tight, the voice is on point.

Her body’s on time and her mind is appealing …

      • historiophiliac - Feb 26, 2013 at 5:39 PM

Fly your freak flag high, man.
