Voice has only gotten better, storytelling skills sharpened to the point of sublimity and in a lot of ways she's even more beautiful now, at 50, than she was then. Check out their last album, The Wilderness, if you get a chance. She's magical.

Margo from back in the day. What a truly phenomenal voice. She’s pretty easy on the eyes, too. Man, that brought back some memories. I remember what I was doing when I first saw that. I was at a buddy’s house for a game party and waiting for it to start. Natch, there were dozens of bandwagon fans there too and I was dodging a conversation with a friend’s ex-girlfriend. Margo’s anthem rendition brought the room noise to a stop an then I got my friends ex to piss off by waxing rhapsodic about how well Margo sang and what she looked like while doing it. Margo saved me from The World’s Most Needy Girl. She’s an angel.

I once had a co-worker from Ottawa. Two of our common interests were hockey and crossword puzzles. One of the clues for a long answer was “Line from O Canada.” The Senators alternate verses between French and English and he didn’t know that verse in English.

Gibby snaked the poor fella’s hand? Damn. That’s harsh. Didn’t know he had such a mean streak in him.

Its no big deal forgetting the Canickistan Anthem Lyrics. I often forget them, too. This is why I usually sing it in french (its NOT just to annoy anyone listening, contrary to what my brother-in-law thinks). It disguises the fact that I’ don’t know all the words, either. Plus it annoys the Englishers at the Hockey.
