The Yankees have jerked Joba around for years, leading to multiple injuries and diminished earnings and earnings potential. All he has done throughout is offer his assessment that he feels he is capable of being a starting pitcher in the major leagues. And the evidence supports that assertion fully. He has never demanded one position or another. He has never demanded a trade. (**cough**not michael young**ahem**excuse me!) He has always done his job to the best of his abilities, which has generally been quite good. What’s the problem here?

Gave up 3 runs twice, 0 runs twice and either 1 or 2 runs six times & had one bad start (his last) where he gave up 5 runs.

2009 as a starter:

April three starts with 1 run yielded…one bad start.
May three QS, one bad start and one where he left game early as precaution after taking come-backer off him.
June 4 QS, six total starts yielding 3 runs or less.
July 5 starts, only gave up more than 3 runs once.
August he had a bad month but even then he was very cosnistent, giving up 4 runs three times, 2 runs once and one start where he got bombed.
September they had him on the dumb ass 60 pitchers per start s***. STILL very consistent. Gving up a couple runs per start with one horrific start out of six.

Despite being the human yo-yo and never complaining once he did a remarkable job providing a level of consistency that Nova nor Hughes have really managed to do.
