Actually, that’s exactly what Sandy Alderson is saying. He’s saying the doctor cleared his shoulder, there’s no medical problem, and Johan simply didn’t do a damn thing all winter. He showed up out of shape without throwing a ball to get ready, and the organization is pissed and disappointed. No leadership, no heart, poor attitude. Personally, I’d be tempted to cut his ass.

I am not certain that is what they are saying here. He was hurt at the end of last year, and at his age recovery takes more time. He may have rested longer than usual in order to permit the injury more time, and underestimated the amount of time required to get into game shape at his age.
