Last year, Teixeira hit .251/.332/.475 to Freeman’s .259/.340/.456, nearly identical lines with Teix playing half his games in a much more generous home park. When you consider their career trajectories, I have no qualms saying Freeman’s better, right now.

Freddie Freeman better then Teixeira in what universe? Freeman maybe more valuable because of his production at a much lower salary, but contracts dont count when it comes to whose a better player. Freeman wont ever match Tex’s ceiling but he will probably be better then Tex in a year or 2 but right now he just isnt. Lets try to keep things in prospective Freeman has had only 1 good season while Tex has only had 1 bad season in recent memory.

Lets hold off on anointing the kid better then established players until he can put more the 1 good season together in a row and the players he’s supposedly better then now put more the 1 season below their career average’s together in a row.

I wish he would miss the remainder of his Yankees contract and give back all that money. Between the injuries and the fact that all he tries to do is pull everything out the right field porch, his value has steadily declined. Nothing more frustrating that watching him hit into a rally killing DP because he’s trying to pull a ball that’s 3 ft off the plate.

An MRI in Tex’s future is fine…not so sure about Hafner, or some of the Minor League types manning 1b for a month or two if said MRI shows a problem, though.

Lucroy is very underrated. Hit .324 last season. Have Mauer play 1st & Lucroy catch if they want the best bats in the lineup.

He’s been called back to Florida to be attended to by the Yankee medical staff. X-rays negative. I’m guessing here that if they took X-rays so quickly, and came back neg, Tex has an MRI in his immediate future.
