Nothing left to trade for the Astros. I'm sure they are not giving up on Lyles yet, and they pretty much have gotten rid of anyone who can hit other than Altuve. I think sprts is on the right track. They will be going with DFA's of young players or their own AAA. Maybe Cosart later this year.

I think pursuing trades would be a great idea, so long as they can improve without sacrificing players they anticipate being a part of their future. Even with the addition of a guy like Harang or Capuano, assuming they don't give up much, they could wait half a season and flip them for a decent return to a pitching hungry contending team. If you look at the way the Cubs are constructed, that is their plan for the 2013 season.

Playing Armchair GM is one of my favorite things, yet I don't play fantasy baseball. Anyway, as bad as the Astros are going to be, why mess with a trade? Just take a flyer on a DFA'd starter or let your younger guys have a shot.

I have no attachement to the Astros except that I'm intrigued by this tearing the franchise down to absolutly nothing only to see how long it takes this front office to rebuild. Especially when they have a more famous armchair GM in Kevin Goldstien in their front office, and thier actual GM has a track record of success.
