Teal is awful, but navy blue is the most overused color in baseball.

Only one team wears green (Oak.) as its primary color. Two wear yellow (Oak, Pitt.). A few have traditionally worn black (Pitt., Balt., SF). Colorado wears purple.

But mostly it’s a blue and red league. I’d like to see a little more variety — but with basic greens, golds and browns included in the mix, not teal. If the Mariners won’t break the mold, at least the Padres could ditch their undistinguished blue/gold color scheme and go back to the traditional brown and gold.

It’s a shame to lose the teal. As a kid, and even now, I have always loved their uniforms. Design change is one thing, but changing colors never makes sense to me. Maybe I’m just nostalgic, but changing colors doesn’t change box scores.

Mariners have some of the best “non-alternate” uniforms in baseball. I like their current cap as well, but I LOVE the trident logo. Tweaking would be OK, but to compare Mariners use of teal to Marlins use of teal is not cool.

I like when teams use creme instead of white. It’s got a very old school look. Having said that, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the teal. In fact, I would think that most Mariners fans would love the teal tops. It should bring back memories of Griffery, Martinez, Buhner, and Johnson.

Lose the teal tops but the regular home jerseys are classic.

I dont like the teal tops, but I love the home whites and the home blue. Addition by subtraction guys, no need for an overhaul.
