Does anyone else find themselves having issues remembering what these are when taken out of context? I stared at “Punch Out” for longer than I’d care to admit until I remembered what the meaning was.

According to the Dickson Baseball Dictionary, both Down the Pipe and Down the Pike are synonyms of “Down the Middle”. I know the term that something is “coming down the pike” means it’s on its way, but I always used “Down the pipe” myself to describe right down the middle of the plate.

Of course, the Dickson book says that “Right down the cock” means the same thing, but we’re going to have to get Jordany Valdespin to weigh in on that one.

Its the Old School, 4′s0-’50′s style colour scheme and graphics that does it for me. Hanging them on a beige wall really works for that. Now all you need is rationing, black out curtains, and the sound of an air raid siren to complete the WWII ambiance. Neat.
