The only thing that drives me nuts about this is the aspect of professionals suddenly acting like it. Suddenly, he weighs less. Suddenly, Miggy Cabrera loses weight to play third base (not that he was suffering offensively before, but still). Shouldn’t players always be trying to be at their physical peak?

Blanton being in the BSHOL means he’s still overweight. What’s even more disheartening as an Angels fan is that he wasn’t trying to lose the weight. Have to admire his commitment…
