Italy really hung in there, and their pitchers did what Hamels, the Yankees (except for Kuroda), Venezuela, and Puerto Rico failed to do. I’m rooting for the DR, but I wouldn’t have minded losing to such a great underdog story. I’m a sucker for an underdog. If it wasn’t for that one play when Cano blooped that error changed to hit, I think Italy would’ve won it.

U.S. vs Puerto Rico should be a good game. Hopefully the U.S. can pull out the win because I really want to see them match up with the Dominican team. Love the WBC
