I gotta say, though, he was one of the most unathletic-looking guys I’ve ever seen play. Not that he was out of shape…he just looked so, shall we say “ungraceful” whenever he was running the bases or playing defense.

I understand that the Jays do want to resign him to a minor league contract. Of course, any team can sign him if they desire. He was the PCL batting champ in 2011. Lars Anderson was claimed off waivers earlier in order to take Cooper’s place as the Triple A first baseman.
