Also was extremely handy with the bat. He was consistently efficient over his hall of fame career in every category you could ask of a pitcher. I doubt there will ever be another pitcher like him.

EDIT:

He went on the disabled list *once*. In April 6th, 2002, he was placed on the 15 day disabled list retroactive to March 26th. He made his first start on the team’s 11th game of the season, and ended up making 34 starts.

SOmething else I recently realized:

Did he ever on the DL? Ever? After his rookie season, he started at least 33 games in every non-strike year until his retirement. I haven’t looked through his game logs, but it appears that he never went on the DL once. That is…amazing.

I’ve known about his twitter account for a while now and I had hoped it would remain a secret for my own stupid reasons.

Some people still aren’t convinced it’s actually his account, and to that I say “pfft.” You know it’s his because he trolls his own children, he talks about food, he posted the sweater pic and if you know anything about Greg you must know that he has the worst fashion sense of any man ever, I have literally dozens of bad sweater photos and even worse polo shirt photos to prove it. I had said a long time ago to my friends that if he ever had a twitter account, it would be the most boring account ever and I was right. But years of comprehensive Maddux study would do that.

Also he’s been endorsed by Murph, the king of twitter. That should prove it even if you don’t understand the clues given above.

And I’m going to out myself now and say it doesn’t matter what he wears, he is still the most attractive man who ever lived, and I don’t care what anyone says.

I’d never seen it before! Makes me like Maddux and Glavine even more. I stayed a Braves fan for years after moving away from Atlanta just to watch them and Smoltz pitch. Greatest sustains group of starters in my lifetime, and the kind of guys that seemed like they’d be fun to hang out with, too. (Glavine’s great in the commercial. “Have you seen Mark?”

I’ll have a k-1 vodka tonic over ice with a lemon twist…make that two. In fact I’ve had a couple of those already.

And, due to the afore mentioned vodka, I misspelled “Bundled” with “Bundles” thus implying that it was I who was in this funny yellow colour. I meant to imply that it was your beau, Sammy doing all that.
