Spring training involves a little more getting up to speed and working on the stuff you have to work on without worrying about the W/L record. I don’t have any data on it, but it surely wouldn’t surprise me if the injury rate is higher for players in the WBC. I know a fair number of GM’s really don’t like their players to go.

Just awful for wright and the mets. He had 10 RBI in the WBC. He’s the only draw for fans to come to the ballpark.
