Possibly but I think the most important think is that he isn’t part of the union so MLB can pretty much do whatever they want.

Jeff Passan is reporting that MLB was using the threat of suspension to get the minor leaguers to talk (as they couldn’t do this to anyone on the 40 man roster):

Odd. I thought a player got 100 games for the second suspension (unless it was a recreational drug). Has he been suspended before? If not, isn’t 100 games out of the ordinary for a first suspension?
