Joba for Mike Olt makes perfect sense. Olt is blocked for years down in Texas, both teams are trading from depth to fill a need… I fail to see any issues here.

Spud, I really think all of this recent stuff is just media-generated BS. There isn’t any substance to any of it…in the same piece, Cafardo reports that the Yankees would trade Joba to Texas in a heartbeat….if they would give up Olt….he also suggested that Porcello to Boston for Bailey is a no brainer deal that should happen. I seriously doubt any of this stuff (this rumor or the one about mediocre starters on Houston) has any basis in reality….just bored reporters with nothing to report.

Adding a player at this time of year isn’t really Mo’s MO…..I doubt he would make a move before seeing how the team is performing and letting the market develop.
