As I die hard Yankees fan, I hope they get crushed here. They’re upset that StubHub earns “their” commissions. They want in on the action. It’s like the mob charging protection to the corner grocer. I’m no fan of StubHub’s usurpious fees, but if the Yanks want in on the action, then start a competing service with lower (or -gasp- no) fees. Don’t try to bully out another business just because they’re successful.

This is the Yankees way to try and manipulate the market. Because the tix are so expensive, most seats can be purchased below face value through stub hub. This year, both the angels and yanks need their contracts with SH. Ticketmaster now handles all the “official” resale of tix. People can still use SH, but the Yankees will no longer allow printed tickets. Hard copy only, except if the ticket was purchased through TM exchange program. I love the Yankees, but I hate this.

i hate and love stubhub. its such a good idea and allows people to sell their tickets that they cant use allowing people to get good deals especially sporting events. but it allows scalpers to legally operate, making concerts even more expensive than they have already become. people buy up all the tickets and drive the price even higher.
