I don’t see anywhere in the supporting articles that Danks is currently on the DL.

The players are healthy enough to play, but not quite ready for big league action yet. From the sounds of it that explains Danks at the moment.

If this were April Danks would be making starts in Extended Spring Training before heading out on rehab, and no one would hear about his struggles, or realize he is pitching to live batters for that matter. The timing of this makes it seem weird, but nothing is out of the ordinary. Hope this makes sense.

I think they need to send him to AAA, if he feels fine then he needs to regain velocity and control again, and resting simply wont allow him to do that.
