Is Lohse even ready? I’m sure he is playing toss and maybe he is working with a catcher, but that isn’t the same as facing live bats. If he signed tomorrow he’ll still miss first week or two of regular season. Everyday he remains unsigned means more regular season games he’ll miss. While he would likely be an upgrade for many teams, most teams are about set with their rotations. Unless a team loses a starter to injury . . . . I don’t see teams lining up to sign him.
