In other news, Mighty Casey made an appearance and struck out 2 in his scoreless inning. Janssen should be ready when the season begins. Santos struck out 3 in his scoreless inning but did have 2 wild pitches.

I don’t know if they have a Mel Queen-type guy in the minors who helped rebuild Roy Halladay, but something serious has to be done, as Ricky has simply lost it. With the team being “all in” now, they just can’t afford to have someone out there who, at this point in his career, is a lot more likely to lose than win. And with Happ available as a solid back of the rotation guy there’s no reason to not make the change. They’ve talked about Romero still being at the major league level because of loyalties to him and his talent…screw that. They’ve been more than patient and loyal to him and he’s now out of rope IMO.

I’m hoping like hell that Ricky figures it out and his talent can overcome the demons in his noggin.
