Not good at baseball? Compared to who, Ian Kinsler? OR Pete Kozma, who in 6 years in the minors has amassed a whopping .236 avg and a .945 fielding percentage? Or Ryan Jackson who hit .136 this spring and has a minor league fielding % of .965?

You don’t know half as much as you think you do, literally.

And hell yeah I;m a Phillies fan, a fan of the team that’s won more games in baseball over the past 6 years than EVERY OTHER TEAM except the Yankees. We got that way by accurately valuing players not by taking what we think we know or taking what we WANT to believe and making it true.

You’re a joke and too easy pick on. I’m gonna laugh a long time about how you think 2 guys in AAA with no MLB experience and mediocre stats are better options than Betancourt.

Let me guess, Phillies fan? Constantly over-valuing players on the team because that’s just a habit.

Feel free to list all the things I’m wrong about….I sure don’t suggest dumb things like “they should hold on to Betancourt to get something in trade”, no one would give up anything of value for that guy.

We’ll see. I’ve looked through your comments and you are often wrong so you’re probably wrong about this as well.

But let me guess – you are better than 90% of the GMs out there right? You know more, have a whole set of things you would do differently, could easily build a WS chamion ML roster if only you weren’t so busy selling insurance and someone gave you a chance.

You say Betancourt won’t end up on a MLB team, right? Remember that.

No one in MLB has infield depth so thin that Betancourt would represent an upgrade. The Cardinals (just as nearly every team does) has 2 guys in AAA that are each far superior to Betancourt on defense and couldn’t possibly hit poorly enough to not represent an upgrade over Betancourt.

The Phils should use their options on Galvis and/or Frandsen and send one of them down and hold on to Betancourt solely for the purposes of getting something, anything, in a trade.

Cardinals, Dodgers, A’s and others are extremely thin at infield depth.
