The past week has been filled with teams releasing veteran players who were signed to minor-league deals because they didn’t want to pay them a $100,000 bonus for accepting assignments to Triple-A.

And now we’re seeing teams re-signing those same players to new minor-league deals that don’t require the same bonus payment, as the Indians have brought back both Matt Capps and Daisuke Matsuzaka.

They’ll head to Triple-A to serve as organizational depth and it certainly won’t be surprising if both guys get call-ups at some point.

Is it true it took him 4 tries to hit the Signature Line on the contract….and then he blew out his elbow crossing the “T”?
