Mike Trout will eat 24 kinda gross chicken wings in ten minutes

Here’s pitcher Garret Richards talking to Scott Miller of CBS Sports.com about Mike Trout and Domino’s:

“He loves chicken wings,” Richards says. “He’s a Domino’s fan. That’s not just in one place, either. He’ll find a Domino’s wherever we’re at.

“He’ll eat 24 wings in about 10 minutes.”

The only worse thing than eating that many wings in that short a period is them being Domino’s wings. Eww.

In other news, that stuff about Mike Trout being fat that floated around this spring was a lot of hooey — I saw him up close and he’s not fat by any stretch of the imagination — but there’s no telling what’ll happen when he’s 30 if he keeps this stuff up.

Subway can’t be too pleased about this.

    • redwings1977 - Mar 28, 2013 at 5:32 PM

Those Subway commercials are the worst on TV. Why is everybody always laughing in them? Terrible.

What we got here is… failure to regurgitate
    (or not?)

    • djpostl - Mar 28, 2013 at 3:49 PM

Not enough thumbs up in the world for that one imo.

  3. digbysellers - Mar 28, 2013 at 2:43 PM

Geez, those might be the worst wings in the history of wingdom…what on earth is he doing?!

  4. captainwisdom8888 - Mar 28, 2013 at 2:47 PM

C’monnn Mikey, you’re a Jersey guy who should know what good wings are. Come back home to South Jersey and try “Robert’s Place” in Margate…Or “Charlie’s” in Somers Point. I wouldn’t steer you wrong kid…

  5. Stiller43 - Mar 28, 2013 at 2:49 PM

24 wings in 10 minutes shouldnt be TOO crazy. The fact theyre from dominos is the only thing thats crazy about it.

Unless hes getting paid damn well by them for pub.

How did this post happen without a Miguel Cabrera reference in there somewhere?

That’s clown food bro. – paid for by Chipotle

    • npmiller28 - Mar 28, 2013 at 4:07 PM

Actually, WE are the clown food.

      Signed,
      Ronald McDonald.

Mickey Dees owned a large stake in Chipotle from 1998-2006.

Not sure when the Angels next play here, but in Macondo, the buzzard wings at Casola’s on SW 17th Avenue South Dixie Highway (also known as Useless One) are the Rolls Royce of the genre. But if he wants to keep eating those Superfund Sites on the Bone and shorten his career, I guess we can’t do anything to help him.

Just one more reminder for us that these are kids playing this game. Basic college behavior patterns for the rest of us.

      • pipkin42 - Mar 29, 2013 at 4:28 AM

I ate good wings in college, thank you.

  9. Darkoestrada - Mar 28, 2013 at 2:56 PM

Well he has something in common with dbacks management. Both of them appreciate gritty things.

  10. spudchukar - Mar 28, 2013 at 3:01 PM

If I am ever forced into selecting my favorite film of all time, “Cool Hand Luke” still gets the nod.

Somebody, needs to educate the Angels phenom.

Any truth to the rumor that Mike is Kilgore’s son?

  11. El Bravo - Mar 28, 2013 at 3:01 PM

Not gonna lie, I kinda want to put him on the douchnozzle list for this…can’t bring myself to do so, but still, Dominoes? Holy f@ck that is terrible.

  12. leshon42 - Mar 28, 2013 at 3:07 PM

Trouty wings = Hooters or BWW !!

  13. brewcrewfan54 - Mar 28, 2013 at 3:15 PM

Hey those boneless wings from Dominoes are pretty good especially from a chain like Dominoes.

    • Chris Fiorentino - Mar 28, 2013 at 6:58 PM

The boneless are good, but thir regular wings are absolutely horrible. They have this gooey texture and seriously will make you nauseous if you think about it. They are gross.

  14. tfbuckfutter - Mar 28, 2013 at 3:16 PM

Is that supposed to be impressive?

I’m fit, weigh in the 150s, and I could easily destroy more than 24 Winghouse Extreme wings in way less than 10 minutes.

  15. gunpowderjones - Mar 28, 2013 at 3:37 PM

Never heard of that place, old gator. I’ll have to check it out next time i trek to the grove.

  16. m3dman3 - Mar 28, 2013 at 4:00 PM

You would love it up here in Buffalo, too bad all we have are shitty farm teams. Actually you know what it’s better that you aren’t here, you would probably be twice the size of Fielder after one season.

  17. atlrod - Mar 28, 2013 at 4:12 PM

I’m sure this won’t backfire at all as he ages.

  18. tfbuckfutter - Mar 28, 2013 at 4:14 PM

Delmon Young is going to upstage him by eating 10 Domino’s franchises in 24 minutes.

    • nygiantstones - Mar 28, 2013 at 4:21 PM

      I lol’d at that one.

    • m3dman3 - Mar 29, 2013 at 7:49 AM

      HAHAHHAHA, put me in tears!

  19. papacrick - Mar 28, 2013 at 4:52 PM

Ironic that I just saw him on the cover of Men’s Health as I was exiting the grocery store a few minutes ago

  20. absolutsaints - Mar 28, 2013 at 10:33 PM

That kid is juicing… No matter how “fat” he gets. You don’t swell up like that in the offseason just by eating wings. Just sayin

  21. Tim's Neighbor - Mar 29, 2013 at 12:21 AM

    Miss you, early 20′s.

  22. dirtyharry1971 - Mar 30, 2013 at 2:54 AM

how about “yawn”? I mean come on!!
