Cole De Vries, who earned a spot in the Twins’ rotation as the #5 starter, exited today’s exhibition game against the Red Sox with forearm tightness. Manager Ron Gardenhire isn’t concerned, according to MLB.com’s Jim Hawkins:

“We’ll see how he feels tomorrow,” said manager Ron Gardenhire. “It didn’t sound like it was a big deal, but we’ll have to see how he feels tomorrow.”

De Vries impressed in spring camp, posting a 0.53 ERA in 17 innings.

Ya so based on this team’s current medical staff and ability to assess injuries, we can assume that De Vries will miss the first half.
