That’s right, Robbie. Brush those shoulders off.

  2. rollinghighwayblues - Apr 2, 2013 at 12:21 PM

    Wow…

  3. bravojawja - Apr 2, 2013 at 12:23 PM

This is in response to Boras’s tweet “Pics or it didn’t happen!”

    I’m not a businessman. I’m a business, man!

    • mreezybreezy - Apr 2, 2013 at 12:34 PM

…Let me handle my business, damn.

  5. El Bravo - Apr 2, 2013 at 12:36 PM

I bet the combined net worth of those two individuals above is higher than the GDP of a long list of countries around the world.

    • paperlions - Apr 2, 2013 at 12:38 PM

Cano’s net worth is rounding error within the context of JZ dollars. JZ has probably spent more on parties than Cano has made.

      • El Bravo - Apr 2, 2013 at 12:51 PM

Paper has anyone ever called you a negative Nancy? Just wondering ;) But yes, I agree.

      • paperlions - Apr 2, 2013 at 12:54 PM

        THBPTP!

Adding Cano’s worth to Jay-Z’s is like adding mine to Fred Wilpon’s.

      • El Bravo - Apr 2, 2013 at 12:58 PM

Is that an acronym for something or did you just choke?

      • paperlions - Apr 2, 2013 at 1:03 PM

I am pretty sure that is the official spelling of the tongue sticking out maneuver (sensu Bill the Cat).

      • paperlions - Apr 2, 2013 at 1:05 PM

        My bad, it is THBBFT!

      • historiophiliac - Apr 2, 2013 at 1:10 PM

I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who gets spit at.

      • El Bravo - Apr 2, 2013 at 1:11 PM

        From wikipedia:

‘The cat’s most frequent spoken sentiments are “Ack!” and “Thbbft!”, unlike most other animals (and children) in Breathed’s work, who not only can speak English, but have advanced vocabularies. The former is a result of his regularly choking on hairballs, the latter sound an approximation of the “raspberry”.’

So yeah, choking was a good guess if you had said Ack! I do, but barely, recall Bill the Cat after some reflection.

      • historiophiliac - Apr 2, 2013 at 1:22 PM

PS. paperlions is not a “negative Nancy.” He’s a “critical motherfuck*r.”

      • paperlions - Apr 2, 2013 at 1:39 PM

Hey, watch your language, this is a family board….that is negative N*ncy

      • historiophiliac - Apr 2, 2013 at 1:44 PM

        Pbbblt!

  6. darthicarus - Apr 2, 2013 at 12:42 PM

And now Boras says he hasn’t spoken with Cano. THE PLOT THICKENS!!!!

  7. historiophiliac - Apr 2, 2013 at 12:51 PM

Damn, what’s with all these moneymakers in grey? Ochre sweaters, dudes. Nouveau riche.

  8. chacochicken - Apr 2, 2013 at 1:03 PM

I feel like this bodes very well for the New York Yankees.

  9. Sorbet Te Charta Saccus - Apr 2, 2013 at 1:13 PM

Jay-Z is such a no-talent ass clown. It pains me to no end to see one of the most all-around talented people on the planet, Justin Timberlake, touring with this nitwit.

    • historiophiliac - Apr 2, 2013 at 1:19 PM

As I was dismayed by his duet w/ Alicia Keys. Jay-Z and his wife are definitely better paired talent-wise than J-Lo & Marc Anthony.

      • Sorbet Te Charta Saccus - Apr 2, 2013 at 1:23 PM

I like Beyonce, and considering she is a bazillionaire herself, will never understand why she would get married to a big-nosed, honking when he raps, no talent jack ass like Jay Z. I love rap, and I can’t listen to his stuff.

To be honest, I’d rather listen to Aries Spears imitate Jay-Z then listen to Jay-Z himself. If you’ve never heard him, check him out on youtube. He’s hilarious.

      • historiophiliac - Apr 2, 2013 at 1:26 PM

Funnier than Fatlip? I’ll check it out.

Bey-once sounds like a turkey warbling, but I know her “singing” isn’t the appeal. I kinda think she and J deserve each other.

  10. ddjesus - Apr 2, 2013 at 1:27 PM

He makes the Yankee cap more famous than a Yankee can… Cano

  11. deathmonkey41 - Apr 2, 2013 at 1:29 PM

Is Jay-Z going to encourage him not to give up on a play where he bobbled the ball and allowed two runners to score on a ball that didn’t leave the infield?

  12. historiophiliac - Apr 2, 2013 at 2:25 PM

    It was a ballsy move.

  13. jtchernak - Apr 2, 2013 at 3:05 PM
