Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports that the Dodgers have released right-hander Kevin Gregg, who was unable to win a spot in the bullpen this spring after signing a minor league contract in mid-February.

Gregg posted a 0.82 ERA and 0.27 WHIP in 11 Cactus League innings and will hope that those numbers earn him a shot with a new team.

The 34-year-old reliever had a 4.95 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and 37/24 K/BB ratio in 43 2/3 innings last season for the Orioles. He owns a 4.13 career ERA and a 1.38 career WHIP.

never liked the guy…serously one of the few baseball players I don’t ever want to see play…and I always found it puzzling how he keeps getting playing time

He wasn’t well liked here either – the tightrope act got really tired after a while…
