Jose Bautista is out of the lineup tonight

Apr 5, 2013, 3:31 PM EDT

No one thought that Jose Bautista’s twisted ankle was particularly serious last night, but it’s apparently serious enough to where John Gibbons feels like he needs a night off. Here’s the lineup for tonight’s game:

Guess that’s one way to avoid ump trouble.

Updates on Bautista’s condition as they happen.

      Is very bad.

Yeah, yeah. What’s your excuse for last season? Anyhow, this is par for the course for my rooting interests. Injury or futility. No middle ground.

Sounds like the umpire conspiracy against him has already begun.

Craig where’s your Cliff Lee story? You’re a big Braves fans and have been gloating the past few days talking smack about the Phillies, but what happened last night? Cliff Lee was virtually untouchable. Surrendered 2 hits in 8 innings, 8 k’s and Phillies shut out the Braves 2-0… where’s the story?

Braves took 2 of 3, outscoring the Phils 16-9. What was the question?

Oh boy the crazies are out in force.

Hello. You must be new here. A friendly hint: look for the post titled “And That Happened.” Appears every weekkday morning. Craig has a comment on each game, and some of us put in our own comments (usually, about our favorite teams).

This morning’s edition, with several nice comments on Cliff Lee’s performance, can be found at:

      You’re welcome. :)

Damn, I hope this isn’t a long-term thing. Jose’s swinging the bat well.

I’m hoping this is also a chance for umps to cool off after that “mediocre” remark he made about the balls & strikes. Missing a day will give everyone a chance to forget Jose even said anything.

Jose you might as well take the rest of the year off like you did last year, you being in the lineup simply isnt going to matter with this team
