HBT Weekend Wrap

Apr 15, 2013, 8:20 AM EST

Wrap

God, wasn’t that family thing/working/cleaning/ thing a pain in the butt this weekend? Kept you from paying attention to baseball? Yeah, me too. Thankfully, then, here is everything you missed that mattered:

Happy Jackie Robinson Day. Happy Morning Baseball Because of Patriot’s Day in Boston. Oh, and Happy Tax Day too.  All kinds of things to celebrate, eh?

I liked the picture of the breakfast wrap better. Beats the heck out of this goofy looking couple.

Hmmmmmm- was it a Freudian slip that you put the Hamilton and Bar quip right next to each other?

“Joe Maddon hates big bunts and he cannot lie.”
    You other brothers can’t deny…

Hey Rays marketing department, if you do a mashup of Joe Maddon and Sir Mix-a-Lot, you will break the internets.

Al Gore might sue them then.

The Detroit Tigers did not desegregate until 1958 when Ozzie Virgil Sr. joined the team.

Morning baseball is weird. Unless it’s at 1 a.m. OK, probably weird then because it’s a 19-inning game and position players are pitching.

Not a good weekend for our boys. Should have won the first game, but got flat-out beat on Saturday and Sunday. Stras’ line on Saturday looks better then he actually was–hopefully he’s learning to work through days when he doesn’t have his best stuff.

Gio, O, Gio. At least it wasn’t on his bobblehead day.

Isn’t that thumbnail an outtake from The Truman Show?
