Reds batboy asked Todd Frazier to hit a home run. Frazier did.

Todd Frazier AP

Fun story from C. Trent Rosecrans at the Cincinnati Enquirer about Reds batboy Ted Kremer. Kremer asked Todd Frazier to hit a homer. Frazier obliged. He also roots really hard for the Reds to strike out 11 hitters so he can get free pizza from La Rosa’s.

Which, why anyone wants La Rosa’s pizza is beyond me, but that’s unimportant at the moment.

(thanks to SmugBud, who has the best avatar ever, for the heads up)

Cause La Rosa’s is awesome! Way better than Columbus pizza.

I hope someone can figure out how to post the clip of teddy celebrating and hugging frazier last night. It was an awesome moment. He just kept pointing to the sky like it was the best thing that ever happened to him.

Ok, awesome moment in the video above me. That’s really cool to see Frazier making that kid’s day, week, life, etc.

Great story. That hug was priceless.

Oh, it was THAT bat boy. Very cool. Even as a Cardinal fan, it would almost be worth seeing the Reds win the WS if Teddy got to be the ball boy for the playoff games….just love that level of unbridled joy and enthusiasm.

    Reminds me of Bull Durham.

    Batboy: Get a hit Crash.

    Crash: Shut up!

      I had the same thought.

Mr. Burns: You, Strawbery, Hit a HR
Darryl: You got it Skip *Crushes a HR*
Mr. Burns: I told him to do that
    Smither: Great plan sir

Smart kid. He asked him to hit a home run against John Maine. That’s like asking your pit bull to bite the mailman.

Correct me if I’m wrong but if the Reds score 10 runs or more. You get 10 free wings at a Cincy Hooters… Wings, beer and hooters. Lethal combo

That’s how we do things at the greatest educational institution in the world, Rutgers! Frazier’s the man.

@Old Gator…Stay classy. Way to mock a great kid who despite having Downs is a great inspiration to the Reds and to baseball.

Even the ump gave him a smile when he handed him the bat. I love these feel good stories. Nothing but class from the MLB and the Reds.
