Indians activate Lou Marson from the disabled list

Lou Marson is back from the disabled list after missing the minimum 15 days with a neck injury and the Indians have him starting behind the plate today against the White Sox.

Yan Gomes filled in for Marson as Carlos Santana‘s backup and homered twice in just six games, but he’s headed back to Triple-A.

Santana, meanwhile, is off to a great start hitting .352 with four homers, seven doubles, and a 1.139 OPS in 15 games. Now that Marson is healthy again it’ll be interesting to see how often the Indians give Santana time off from catching, either by shifting him to designated hitter or giving him a full day off.
