Yuniesky Betancourt is batting cleanup tonight

Yuniesky Betancourt AP

Yuniesky Betancourt will be batting cleanup when his Brewers square off against the Dodgers tonight, tweets Tom Haudricourt. Betancourt is second on the team with four home runs and 16 runs batted in, so you can sorta kinda maybe understand manager Ron Roenicke’s thinking. It is, however, the first time in Betancourt’s career he will start a game as the clean-up hitter and he owns a .394 slugging percentage over his career.

If Neifi Perez ever batted clean up the world would implode!

Good article, except for the fact he is playing third base. It would be beneficial to check the lineup before writing an article about shortstops batting cleanup.

Thanks for pointing that out, I’m used to thinking of him as a SS.

Found a diamond in the rough. Will he continue as he has been in the start of the season, nobody knows but we will see.
