Troy Tulowitzki suffers shoulder injury

The Rockies, flying high atop the NL West with a 15-9 record, were deflated in this afternoon’s game against the Diamondbacks as their star shortstop left this afternoon’s game due to a left shoulder strain. Tulowitzki slid into home plate awkwardly in the top of the first inning and made contact with Diamondbacks catcher Miguel Montero. He was replaced in the bottom of the third by Jonathan Herrera.

Tulowitzki is relieved his injury isn’t serious.

Along with great defense, Tulowitzki had been very productive at the plate with a .312 average and six home runs, so the Rockies are happy they won’t be losing his bat for any significant amount of time. They know that story well after losing him for the final four months last season due to a groin injury.

Well this is a shock. Has Tulo ever been on the DL before? I think he is close to passing Gehrig if I am not mistaken. Oh well. Cal was still a long way away.

    He’s such a vag.

      Nice.

Completely unrelated, but what’s the reproductive organ people reduce sexists to? A dick?

Whatever, man. The guy is fragile. Sorry I offended you.

What did he say wrong? Tulo is a Vag. A Vagabond. He starts in Arizona in the spring. He plays in Colorado for a few weeks. Then comes the yearly trip to the 60 day DL, and he heads home to California. He returns to Denver for September baseball, the it’s back to California for the offseason. Then he goes to Arizona for Spring Training. The man has no home.

All vaginas are capable of expanding to ridiculous dimensions to accommodate the passage of something multiple times their own size.

I would say that, if anything….the “vag” is the LEAST fragile thing on earth.

That’s actually a good point. Should have just called him a wimp.

Jeff Kent is a stud when compared to Tulo.

When I see people call athletes fragile, or especially calling them some form of a vagina, I have to wonder about the people doing so. Do you think they want to be injured? Could your body handle that kind of physical stress from February to October? Some guys get hurt, it sucks, but it’s stupid to criticize someone for things they can’t control.

When athletes are criticized for the lack of toughness, ability or performance….they are being compared to their peers, not the public in general.

If one guy misses games for a minor injury when the average player wouldn’t for the same injury….he lacks toughness.

JD Drew was a huge wussy because he constantly missed time for the smallest of injuries. He has a low pain threshold for an athlete….but probably higher than the average person.

Maybe, but I don’t know if I buy that.
