We’ve been HBT-Extra-ing it for a while, but today marks the return of HBT Daily. We’re going to be doing shorter, pithier hits most weekdays now. When we don’t, it’s because I wasn’t able to get showered and shaved before the cameras rolled at 10AM or whenever.

Starting pitching gets credit in Boston. But dumping a bunch of bad contracts of malcontents (on the Dodgers) and dumping Valentine and hiring Farrell were key moves by Cherrington. He also brought in Napoli, Victorino, and Ross. Cherrington seems to have hit on more than his share of moves. Of course, two signings look pretty bad right now (Hanrahan and Drew) and those are only one year deals.
