See if you can guess what I’m gonna say before I say it.

    Stands up and applauds.

No, but they would certainly be better without his contract.

    Anytime before October, sure

While you can’t account for his baseball mind…you know making plays, or his chemistry with his teammates on the field, statistically the Yankees are about even, if not a little bit better without A-rod.

Yeah, cause Jason Nix and lifetime .215 BA and .284 OBP is exactly what the Yankees need more of.

Depends: with Youk healthy, the answer is “maybe they are, or no worse at least.” With Knicks, the answer is “no way.” My bottom line on it is about the team, which deserves credit for holding on so far and so well in a tough division. Hell tough league: just a single genuine doormat in the entire AL.

Even with Youk back, they’re still definitely better with A-Rod. Youk, Hafner and A-Rod will all need regular rest, and there’s a non-zero chance that Teix is worthless this season.

Anyone that thinks the Yankees are a better team right now without A-Rod is crazy. A healthy A-Rod in the line up even if he struggles a bit offensively makes everyone better on the Yankees. With or without Youkils, with or without Nix with or without Nelson.

    Ummm No.

  8. mazblast - May 7, 2013 at 6:47 PM

No, but PFT won’t let that stop them from making an issue of it. A healthy A-Roid is infinitely better than what they’ve used this year, but he’s not healthy, end of story.

I knew it! I knew it!

    I guessed wrong.
