Brewers place Tom Gorzelanny on the DL

The Brewers have placed lefty Tom Gorzelanny on the disabled list with shoulder tendinitis, per MLB.com’s Adam McCalvy. They have recalled right-hander Mike Fiers.

Gorzelanny posted a 2.30 ERA in 15.2 innings out of the bullpen. Fiers, meanwhile, allowed six runs in five innings in his only start on April 6 and allowed one run in 2.1 innings out of the bullpen. He made a start with Single-A Brevard County on Wednesday, allowing four runs over six innings against the Charlotte Stone Crabs.

    Ugh. Yes America, it does suck to be a Brewer fan. Even Front Row Amy is starting to turn on the team, well at least Ricky Weeks.

    Here, have a Zach Duke. That was our choice instead of Gorzy. He just took a 4-1 game and made it 8-1.

    Gorzy has done well in the pen so far this year. This is a tough loss for the Brewers.
