Kyle Lohse has been scratched from his next scheduled start with what the Brewers are calling elbow irritation. Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports that Mike Fiers will fill in for Lohse against the Pirates on Saturday.

Lohse has an ugly 1-5 record since signing a three-year, $33 million deal with the Brewers late in spring training, but he’s actually pitched reasonably well with a 3.76 ERA and 37/10 K/BB ratio in 55 innings.

However, most of that good pitching was done in April and the 34-year-old right-hander allowed four runs Sunday for the third time in four starts.

maybe he hurt it throwing that hissy fit against the cardinals on sunday over them “pulling back their bunts” or w/e he was crying about.

this explains it pretty well, long story short he’s a baby and mad he’s not a cardinal anymore.

Thanks for the link Blues. I can appreciate why he is pissed. I would be too.
But to insinuate its about that stupid fake bunt…pull the bat back crap is ludicrous.
The Cardinals have been doing that for years. Lohse knows better than anyone he used to routinely do it when he was batting for St. Louis.
Bottom line…his feelings are hurt. I can understand why. And it’s got nothing to do with the fake bunt. It’s apparent he was grasping for straws.

      Newsflash Moron:
There are a great number of St. Louis Cardinals fans that are NOT from Missouri.
It’s one of several reasons they are annually among MLB’s leaders in home and away attendance.
Now…don’t you have a hook to bait? Or possibly a shotgun to clean?
When you are done…please let me know where that fishing hole is.
I would like to meet you their sometime and show you how to fish.

Lohse could easly be 5-1 right now, probably should be. However, the team gives this guy no run support to speak of.

Lohse has has three starts where he lasted no more than 6.1 innings and allowed 4 earned runs. No way he should be 5-1. His bullpen has kept them in those games.
