Andy Pettitte to return from the DL next week

May 29, 2013, 4:00 PM EDT

The old man of the Yankees’ rotation to return soon:

And if form holds for the Yankees he’ll be back on the DL by the end of next week.

Pettitte has been out since May 16 with a strained trapezius muscle. He has thrown bullpens and a simulated game and so far, so good.

Surprisingly pitching has not been the Yankees’ problem; it been their inability to score run consistently.

Take your time Andy, Vidal Nuno will hold down the fort until you get back.

Is it just me but everytime Andy Pettitte goes down this rotation begins to struggle, Cano is a good player but he’s not the vocal leader, this team weathered the storm an over achived expectations so far, Granderson tried to come back an was about to hit his stride an unfortunate what happened again, we need our horses back even Alex, u can still fell the uncertainty in the stadium an all over with this team & real Yankee Fans, the patch job worked fine so far but all Yankee fan have in there back of there heads they are mostly all TEMPS.
