Michael Pineda scheduled for first rehab start tomorrow

New York Yankees starter Pineda pitches against the Philadelphia Phillies during a spring training baseball game in Clearwater

Yankees starter Michael Pineda will begin his rehab, making his first start tomorrow afternoon with the Single-A Tampa Yankees per MLB.com’s Bryan Hoch on Twitter. He was originally scheduled to start today, but was pushed back to tomorrow due to a rainout.

Pineda, who hasn’t pitched in the Majors since September 2011, suffered a torn labrum in his right shoulder during spring training last year, requiring surgery. The Yankees are hoping to have him back by the end of June.

On January 23 last year, the Yankees acquired Pineda from the Mariners along with Jose Campos in the trade that sent Jesus Montero and Hector Noesi to Seattle.

Montero was sent to the minors a few weeks ago while Noesi was sent down yesterday. Both went down because they suck.

I was with a girl last week who went down because she sucks.

I couldn’t understand why people were trashing the trade after Pineda was injured as both Montero and Noesi were ridiculously overrated.

If Pineda can return from his injury the Yankees will ‘win’ this trade 100%.

      Cashman wins again…ugh.

It’s the same thing as the draft “results” the other day. People want instant analysis, and they need it now!
