      “That’s my boy”

      • heyblueyoustink - Jun 11, 2013 at 8:55 AM

” Pappy, why do they call them black eyed peas? “

    • scoutsaysweitersisabust - Jun 11, 2013 at 8:56 AM

      Fistbump bro

    • jwbiii - Jun 11, 2013 at 2:07 PM

Yeah, but he’s probably going home with her, so he’s got that going for him.

      • jwbiii - Jun 11, 2013 at 2:10 PM

Oops. After watching the longer video, she’s with the guy on the other side of her.

  6. jacksontaigu - Jun 11, 2013 at 8:45 AM

I can’t take my eyes off of the woman who peaks around the man in the blue v-neck chewing what looks to be a full pack of hubba bubba.

    • Alex K - Jun 11, 2013 at 8:53 AM

I was just logging in to say the same thing. That 100% makes this video.

    • Alex K - Jun 11, 2013 at 8:56 AM

I also just noticed the guy behind the kid who caught the ball. His face doesn’t move or change the whole .gif.

      • jacksontaigu - Jun 11, 2013 at 9:06 AM

It’s his girlfriend or wife calling for the ball. He has a good laugh at her expense in the full clip.

      • paperlions - Jun 11, 2013 at 9:22 AM

Nice. Good to see that she took it well, too.

      • Alex K - Jun 11, 2013 at 11:32 AM

It is nice to see that she didn’t get upset. I like that they were having a laugh about it.

  7. dink53 - Jun 11, 2013 at 8:46 AM

Should have thrown it lower so she had to bend over more.

    • beebopthearcher - Jun 11, 2013 at 9:36 AM

That must be very painful for you.

But don’t worry, the internet is full of places where you can see cleavage…sometimes even entire boobs (though I steer away from those sits. Tis unGodly, it is).

So, next time you’re feeling because a random gif of a foul ball didn’t show the cleavage you inexplicably expected, just go over to Bing and type in any word, …I’m sure some cleavage will come up.

  8. scoutsaysweitersisabust - Jun 11, 2013 at 8:57 AM

This gif has won the internet this week. So full of win.

  9. DelawarePhilliesFan - Jun 11, 2013 at 9:24 AM

I still don’t see the kid

  10. historiophiliac - Jun 11, 2013 at 9:24 AM

    Children are horrible.

    • paperlions - Jun 11, 2013 at 9:29 AM

I don’t know. This one reminds me a lot of a dog. Swooping in unexpectedly, stealing the ball, and then taking off with it. Dogs are awesome.

      • historiophiliac - Jun 11, 2013 at 9:32 AM

No, a dog would give it to you after because dogs are kind and loving — not self-absorbed little piggy sucks.

      • paperlions - Jun 11, 2013 at 9:41 AM

That isn’t why a dog gives you the ball, if it does.

A dog only gives you the ball back if s/he has learned that doing so results in a good thing for the dog: another thrown ball to chase. The dog only does what s/he does because s/he has learned which things result in good things for the dog and which things result in bad things for the dog. It just so happens that, in general, what is good for the dog is good for the person (unless you have a torn rotator cuff).

      • historiophiliac - Jun 11, 2013 at 9:42 AM

        You have terrible dogs.

      • paperlions - Jun 11, 2013 at 9:48 AM

No, my dogs are awesome. I just don’t mis-interpret the drive behind their actions. Dogs most certainly are loving, but that isn’t why they give you a toy to throw or play tug with….dogs have no concept of kindness (or revenge or guilt or spite).

      • historiophiliac - Jun 11, 2013 at 9:49 AM

        I find your sappiness annoying.

      • paperlions - Jun 11, 2013 at 10:07 AM

        Adults are horrible.

      • historiophiliac - Jun 11, 2013 at 10:11 AM

You can say me — it’s totally okay.

      • paperlions - Jun 11, 2013 at 11:26 AM

        Okay, you are horrible.

      • historiophiliac - Jun 11, 2013 at 11:27 AM

        Ok. Have a nice day.

      • paperlions - Jun 11, 2013 at 11:28 AM

You can say “fuck off”, it’s okay…..at least, that is always what I assume you mean when you say that. :-)

      • historiophiliac - Jun 11, 2013 at 11:29 AM

Nope. Where I’m from, that’s a polite way of ending a conversation with good will.

      • paperlions - Jun 11, 2013 at 11:31 AM

Wait a second, fuck off isn’t polite? Hmmmmm, that explains some things.

      • indaburg - Jun 11, 2013 at 12:29 PM

Where I am from, fuck off is a term of endearment. Huh. Midwesterners.

      • paperlions - Jun 11, 2013 at 1:07 PM

Exactly, among friends it is essentially like “oh, piss off” in joking manner (I also am from the mid-west, but have lived in many places in these western continents since I was 18, so my mid-westerness likely is highly diluted).

That is why I just assumed that “have a nice day”, were her polite way of saying, essentially, the same thing. *shrug*

      • historiophiliac - Jun 11, 2013 at 9:12 PM

I love that I can get thumbs down for telling you to go ahead and say I’m horrible and you get all thumbs up.

      • paperlions - Jun 11, 2013 at 10:11 PM

See…that’s why I usually reply using the notification thing, so I can ignore that crap more easily.

As I said, adults are horrible….even worse than kids IMO, as adults should know better.

      • historiophiliac - Jun 11, 2013 at 10:12 PM

I got it! Fuck off. Okay. Fucking off now. Sheesh.

      • paperlions - Jun 11, 2013 at 10:13 PM

        Hahaha.

    • DelawarePhilliesFan - Jun 11, 2013 at 9:31 AM

I did the same thing as a child at a Phillies game – replace the hot blonde with my older brother. Never let the ball come to you, thats the lesson in both cases

Amount I cared that my brother was livid: 0

      • historiophiliac - Jun 11, 2013 at 9:33 AM

Truthfully, did he hit you later or short sheet you or something?

      • DelawarePhilliesFan - Jun 11, 2013 at 9:38 AM

No, but he was really, really ticked – and 30 years later, probably still is. He was never short on stories about the fact that the ball was thrown to HIM, and that I just stole it.

Yea, whatever….I still have the ball!

      • historiophiliac - Jun 11, 2013 at 9:40 AM

Hmmm, there would’ve been some paybacks in my house, I tell ya. We’re gritty…and old school.

    • blacksables - Jun 11, 2013 at 9:38 AM

Other people’s children are horrible. Mine reminds me all the time that she is an angel .

    • heyblueyoustink - Jun 11, 2013 at 10:18 AM

Well trained and brainwashed children aren’t so bad. Like indentured servants.

  11. albertmn - Jun 11, 2013 at 9:44 AM

Awesome job by the kid to play it cool and swoop in. Don’t worry, she’s a beautiful girl and won’t have trouble getting plenty of things given to her free in her life. And, I don’t say that as jealous, but just as fact. I know it’s bad, but I am more likely to tip a cute server more than a less attractive one for the same service.

    • historiophiliac - Jun 11, 2013 at 10:05 AM

Or, she might want to catch a ball herself.

  12. yahmule - Jun 11, 2013 at 9:47 AM

    Yoink!

This little dude rules. You can see him hold off the larger kid on the right and time his move perfectly.

    • yahmule - Jun 11, 2013 at 9:48 AM

That should be on his right. I hope it’s his older brother.

  13. cardsfanandi - Jun 11, 2013 at 10:03 AM

Ok, I’m dating a guy from Kansas City who’s a huge Royals fan, and he sent me this a few nights ago. My first thought was, “damn little kid,” but looking at his face on a computer screen instead of my phone, it’s just hilarious. He’s a stealthy little rascal, but he’s owning it.

  14. Bryz - Jun 11, 2013 at 10:35 AM

At first I was going to say, “#$%&@! My GIF is on the Internet! Why didn’t I put my name or Twitter handle on it!?” However, after some comparison testing, I’ve determined that the above GIF was not mine, as the clip starts and finishes earlier than mine.

    • DelawarePhilliesFan - Jun 11, 2013 at 12:33 PM

I like yours better, this one cuts off too early

  15. daveitsgood - Jun 11, 2013 at 10:53 AM

I don’t know about you, but it looks like that kid just got Frenchy’s phone number on a baseball.

  16. chip56 - Jun 11, 2013 at 10:55 AM

Who knew that many people went to Royals’ games?

  17. louhudson23 - Jun 11, 2013 at 11:04 AM

The kid is on it from the start and cleanly boxes his buddy out and then goes and gets it…..

  18. mgflolox - Jun 11, 2013 at 12:14 PM

I dunno, maybe I’m missing something here, but if my kid did that, I’d tell him to give the ball to the person it was intended for. I guess I’m strange, but I want to teach my kids to not be selfish, greedy little shits.

    • DelawarePhilliesFan - Jun 11, 2013 at 12:41 PM

You have a valid point – but to play devils advocate, all you see here is the ball. You do not at all see the player or who he was looking at. And we certainly don’t know any conversations that may have taken place.

Watch it again, and zero in on the spot where the ball enters the frame, and where it ends up. Yes, the CAMERA is squarely on her, but the ball is actually going ever so slighty to her right. The kids are clearly half a step in front of her – who is to say the ball was going to her?

  19. yahmule - Jun 11, 2013 at 12:31 PM

Emailed this to a friend and this was his reply:

“Dad, check it out! This baseball has the starting shortstop’s phone number on it too!”

  20. Walk - Jun 11, 2013 at 1:38 PM

Yeah I would have tossed her another for sure.
