There was a whole lot going on during Tuesday night’s melee between the Diamondbacks and Dodgers, so it’s taking a little while for Major League Baseball officials to sort through all the video and assign the proper punishments to the proper culprits.

There will be nothing levied on Wednesday night, reports Bob Nightengale of USA Today:

Here’s a spliced-together replay of the entire ordeal with the great Vin Scully on the mic:

So the same cast of characters (minus Greinke and Kennedy) will be out there tonight? I don’t envy the umps, but Scully should be entertaining.

This has the potential to be awesome.

    That’s fertilizer!

Valverde is fertilizer, that is dung!

Both teams should be locked in an empty warehouse, left to settle things Anchorman Style.

      I love lamp.

        This is regoddamndiculous.

Nobody has hit more batters the past two years than Ian Kennedy. Now he’s throwing at batters heads multiple times in the same game? He needs to be sat down 12 games, with a warning that if he’s back here again facing punishment for head-hunting they will bump him up to 30 games. Enough is enough.

    • natslady - Jun 12, 2013 at 8:17 PM

Well, he was involved in this one in 2011, Arizona vs. the Nats. That was some series.

  5. junglerat524 - Jun 12, 2013 at 8:06 PM

Lazy. They should have taken care of this before the game started

  6. tfbuckfutter - Jun 12, 2013 at 9:03 PM

Someone should explain to Ian Kennedy that you can very easily kill someone by hitting them in the head with a baseball.

Or demonstrate it. By throwing baseballs at his head.

This comment was fine until you decided to start a new line.

Big Mac still got his roid rage rolling… So funny watching old fart trying to be a rough neck.

    • duckthefodgers - Jun 12, 2013 at 9:42 PM

It wouldve made my year if Matt Williams and Mark McGwire fought.

  8. 13arod - Jun 12, 2013 at 9:45 PM

natslady he was involved with thedogers in 2011 when he was a diamindback

I’ve got no horse in this race – MN Twins fan. Kennedy should serve a lengthy suspension for hitting two batters in the head, one intentionally. Greinke was in the right. He throw a soft pitch at a fleshy area. NOT at the batter’s head. And it would have been kind of nice to see McGwire rearrange Gibson’s face.

What, sending them to Australia isn’t enough of a punishment?

  12. aspinaci - Jun 13, 2013 at 1:29 AM

I’m thinking the “Old Fart” could certainly hold his own. What would be funny is watching you discuss your opinion in person with Big Mac.

Boy I must be really getting old when I now more of the coaches fighting then the players fighting. Don’t have a dog in this fight. But KG is a D Bag

IAN KENNEDY is a punk disguised as a pitcher. Must have played too much DADDY ball as a kid.

Baseball has turned into a game played by pussies on steroids.

Shame on Diamondbacks organization for letting him “head hunt”.

Bob Gibson would have straightened this punk out real fast.

    • lofipatrick - Jun 13, 2013 at 1:09 PM

How do you think Gibson straightened “punks” out?

Besides, Kennedy still has to bat against the Dodgers this year. The pussies are the headhunters in the AL.

Suspensions, why ? for playing baseball ?
