Democrats beat the Republicans 22-0 in the Congressional Baseball Game

Jun 14, 2013, 3:52 PM EDT

Republican and Democrat symbols

The Democrats beat the Republicans 22-0 in yesterday’s Congressional baseball game. Karl Rove and the people at Gallup still think the Republicans still have a chance, however.

Team Blue was paced by Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-LA), who tossed seven shutout innings. The Donkeys have won five straight. I’m sure they benefitted from their scouting program. Indeed, I hear their intelligence gathering is top notch. The Republicans, meanwhile, are far more geared for the Congressional football and basketball games where their keep away skills and ability to run out the clock are unsurpassed.

A recap of the game from CSNWashington.com:

the dems should have “redistributed” some of those runs around!!! I mean not all the reps had a chance to go to the cages so they should have made sure the dems gave up their “fair share” of runs an the reps scored their “fair share!” oh well I heard they ALL got trophys and were told how good they played (especially the reps) and went for ice cream after the game!!

I’m not suggesting a conspiracy or anything, but isn’t it a little weird that they only interviewed Republicans for the video piece? Was there not a single Democrat available to give a sound bite?

It’s difficult to stomach the liberal idiots on HBT. I’ll try harder – I promise.

Both sides are morons….I just wish HBT wouldn’t mix politics into the blog. They will keep doing it, I just wish they wouldnt

I’m willing to bet Craig wouldn’t have posted anything about this game if the Republicans won.

A preview of things to come. The gods of baseball have given us a sign!

For the first time in 5+ years the GOP/Repulsicans failed to use the filibuster and look what happens! After the game the Republicans all cooled off with nice ice cold tea made from real tea bags, not the instant tea that pops up in all the stores at this time of year. This is what a tea party should be made of.

How many ringers did the Dems have?

If only it were this simple in real life.
