Bryce Harper to hit in a cage today, to eat face soon

Jun 20, 2013, 5:02 PM EDT

Bryce Harper hasn’t played a game since May 26, but he’s on the comeback trail:

No timetable, but no setbacks either, so presumably he’ll be ready to eat people’s faces soon.

No, really:

God, is this going to be an ongoing thing with the Nats now? I want them to lose anyway, but I’m way more interested in them losing now because if they win then “eating face” will truly be a thing then.

Here’s Harper sitting down for an exclusive interview with Mark Zuckerman of CSNWashington:

    “to eat face soon” …..hahahahaha

He’d have to hit a lot of fences to look like that.

Do bath salts count as PED’s? I feel a special Congressional panel being formed soon…

Maybe he will be back in time for the next series with the Fish. They are used to face eating down there.

Garth, marriage is punishment for shoplifting in some countries.

He’s just going to get hurt again and miss more time a few games after he comes back though, let’s be honest.

Sounds like someone’s drinking a little bit of the Haterade….

I actually am about as big of a fan as there is of him. He’s just injury prone all the time.

You have to temper that with the obvious truth that Harper hasn’t been in the majors long enough to be “hurt all the time.” I get your feeling like that, but it isn’t possible, so think of it some other way.

Other than a reference to something like the Donner party, what the hell does that even mean? Too many zombie movies/games? I guess I’m old.

The other night, after the Nats comeback win over the Phillies, Jayson Werth made a comment about coming to the park, ‘Ready to fight. Ready to eat someone’s face.’ I’m paraphrasing, but that was the gist of it.

Yeah Craig, it’s almost as douchey as ending a blog entry with “wowzers”
