Is that a real photo? It looks like the head is superimposed onto the torso.

    • stlouis1baseball - Jun 20, 2013 at 12:14 PM

      Look at those eyes! Wow.

      • heyblueyoustink - Jun 20, 2013 at 12:48 PM

Yeah, he looks like a crazy right winger. Someone should inform the NSA to pull some files or something.

    • historiophiliac - Jun 20, 2013 at 3:20 PM

BTW, aces, how’s the family doing? Hanging in there?

      • stlouis1baseball - Jun 20, 2013 at 3:38 PM

Good lord Women! You are doing it AGAIN. Just google the name and then get back to me.

      • historiophiliac - Jun 20, 2013 at 3:39 PM

Why should I do all that work because *you* brought it up???? Men.

      • stlouis1baseball - Jun 20, 2013 at 3:40 PM

Because you are trying to be coy again. Strangely…you only seem to do this (as I have noticed anyway) when I start blasting on lefties.

      • historiophiliac - Jun 20, 2013 at 3:41 PM

I’m not being coy. I don’t know who that is.

      • aceshigh11 - Jun 21, 2013 at 8:21 AM

They are..thanks so much for asking! Everyone’s doing well.

        How have you been?

      • historiophiliac - Jun 21, 2013 at 9:39 AM

I’m fine. Your grandfather just popped into my head for some reason (probably b/c I talked to my brother). It’s your grandpa who was sick, right?

  2. barrywhererufrom - Jun 20, 2013 at 12:22 PM

i would take a righty over this..I don’t even know what to call it..I know a leftist throwing like a girl..

    • lukescottsbedsidemanner - Jun 20, 2013 at 12:37 PM

Yeah! Everyone knows throwing a ball is the best way to judge a person’s fitness to run the country. Next time a major crisis breaks, he better sit down with the chid-ren and read them a story, too. None of this up at all hours racing from meeting to meeting, head of state calls and ordering action stuff. You sit your ass down and read to those kids! And throw a ball! Like a man! A MAN! Not a GURL! Girls are DUMB! They can’t throw a ball . . . except Brett Lawrie’s sister, Danielle . . .and Jennie Finch . . . and Cat Osterman . . . and lots of other girls actually . . . actually. . . looking at The Presidents throw . . . not bad. 12-6 curve ball, a bit like Darvish’s. I can’t hit those. HE SHOULDN’T THROW LIKE THAT! Throw a pitch I can hit, Barry!

      /high five Barrywhereufrom!

      • heyblueyoustink - Jun 20, 2013 at 12:46 PM

” looking at The Presidents throw . . . not bad. 12-6 curve ball”

The problem is, he didn’t know it was a curveball until some news person told him. He found out he threw the curveball the same time as everyone else.

      • lukescottsbedsidemanner - Jun 20, 2013 at 1:14 PM

Not fit for president. That much is obvious. I bet he doesn’t even own pig spears.

      • barrywhererufrom - Jun 20, 2013 at 1:52 PM

Benghazi, IRS Scandal, NSA Scandal, unemployment almost 8% has nothing to do with being inept as President. Throwing like a girl is just the way Obama throws..its ok..he sucks as President too..

      • lukescottsbedsidemanner - Jun 20, 2013 at 2:53 PM

Yeah, man! Barrywhereufrom, YOU should run for president! Because you could control stuff in Africa from The White House, and bring the unemployment rate down nearly 6% since your inauguration, and re-instate oversights de-instated by the previous administration, and all that. I bet you could do it better than that Congolese Guy. Can’t even throw a ball a man can hit. Huh.

      • Anoesis - Jun 21, 2013 at 10:44 AM

        Barry:

Ten times as many attacks on U.S. consulates during Bush’s presidency. IRS has been used by chief executives for nefarious purposes since about a year after it was formed. Various security apparatuses have been used to spy on everyone and their brother since J. Edgar Hoover realized he could avoid the scandal of being a cross-dresser by digging up dirt on anyone famous.

You get hammered on your stupid posts for two reasons:
        1) You are obviously preoccupied with politics and, despite not being a sports fan, make it a point to post endlessly on any story with even the slightest political slant;
        2) The general consensus is that Obama has become almost further right than Bush in his policies and calling out Obama for doing pretty much exactly what Bush did/would do makes you look like an idiot.

Obama’s swing to the conservative view and doubling down on nearly all of the Bush team’s agenda makes me think that the only reason certain people on the right don’t like him is because he’s half black.

    • bigharold - Jun 20, 2013 at 12:47 PM

“i would take a righty over this.”

Brilliant!! You logic astounding, …astoundingly irrelevant.

      • barrywhererufrom - Jun 20, 2013 at 4:27 PM

Bigharold-ever heard of a pun-you know a play on words-Obama being a leftists..throws with his left hand like a girl..and then Alito a righty thrower and to the right of the political spectrum. Now I know you are slow and all. But even an Obama fan like yourself could figure this out. I shouldn’t assume because you probaly think Obama is doing a great job as POTUS and throws like a man. That throwing like a man is really not that important but failing in so many areas as you spy on the average american is something that would make you a giant failure as President. Now that BigHarold is important..

      • cur68 - Jun 20, 2013 at 5:07 PM

YOU, barry’s dad, are questioning someone’s intelligence? BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA…..

Tell me, how did the last time you tried to match wits with someone on here go for you? Were you not in fact shown your own ass? Was it not, in fact, A GIRL who did it? In fact, you seem so scornful of girls, but there are many, many, MANY who can throw better than YOU I’ll wager.

What’s more, you are woefully ignorant, badly informed, and possessing of a willful disregard for any fact that doesn’t serve your preconceived ideas and agenda.

You’ve lied about what your screen name means (like ANYONE believes the “barry” is named for your “son”). You’ve claimed to be a history teacher and then shown to be utterly WRONG in your knowledge of history
NOW you dare accuse someone of being slow? BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHhahahahhehehehehheeeehhhehehohohohohohehhee…hee, ho,…ha…

Please. Do go on. I’m fascinated by how much more of a fool you can make of yourself.

    • cohnjusack - Jun 20, 2013 at 2:59 PM

Benghazi, IRS Scandal, NSA Scandal, unemployment almost 8% has nothing to do with being inept as President. Throwing like a girl is just the way Obama throws..its ok..he sucks as President too..

Alright, let’s unweave this one shall we.

#1. Benghazi. Some diplomats killed and the Obama administration fumbled the explanation. The fact is, there have been far *fewer* attacks on US diplomatic facilities under Obama than Bush or Reagan. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrorist_attacks_on_U.S._diplomatic_facilities
And what coverup? The one where they act confused and look stupid right before an election? Umm…yeah…that would have benefitted whom exactly? It doesn’t strike me or any thinking person as a coverup, but more like doing a poor ass job letting everyone who is talking to people know what is going on. Idiotic yes, criminal? no.

#2. IRS Scandal. Yep, stupid, stupid, stupid. But certainly not historically stupid. Bush’s IRS went after the NAACP,…or when the IRS went after a California Church’s tax exempt status for giving a sermon against the Iraq War. These are actually far worse, as they constituted actual threats instead of just greater scrutiny. There should be a fairer way to do this, but it was not wholly without merit. There was a huge rise in conservative groups taking political action yet claiming tax exempt status. They should be looked in to, just in not so much of an idiotic way.

#3. NSA. Yep, that’s pretty bad. I’m mad because Obama *is flagrantly continuing a Bush-era policy*. Where was your outrage on this one? Liberals are pretty pissed at both, but conservatives only seem to give a shit when Obama is flagrantly pissing on the bill of rights….

#4. 8% unemployment. When he took over the White House, it stood at 9% and economist that it was going to go much higher. It has thankfully dropped some. What I find hilarious is the conservative argument that liberal politics are too blame (Obama is no liberal FYI), when conservative “free market” policies are what set the economy on fire on in the first place. Here’s the argument. “Hmm…free market policies destroyed the economy and half-assed liberal policies aren’t fixing it fast enough. Back to the free market policies!” See how this makes zero sense?

#5. You probably throw like a girl too. Just sayin.

In summary, please, stop making me defend a President that I find to be terribly mediocre. And, as a liberal, please stop yapping about how liberal he is, because we all think he’s far too conservative!

      • stlouis1baseball - Jun 20, 2013 at 3:36 PM

        #1) Cover Up = Lies….Lies = Cover Up

#2) So…since “Bush’s IRS” went after the NAACP everything is squared…right?

#3) All I will say is…I fully disagree. And for the record…I have never personally met a Liberal who said anything negative about our illustrious leader. In fact…they act as if it’s blasphemy to do so.

#4) Yep…the fearless one is solely responsible for the current unemployment “recovery.” The Market (specifically…business) had nothing to do with this whatsoever. That “free market policy” ALWAYS corrects itself. That is business 101.

#5) I cant comment as I haven’t seen him throw.

Just one question Cusack: What do you do for a living? Seriously. I am curious.

      • barrywhererufrom - Jun 20, 2013 at 3:58 PM

Are you kidding cohnhead? IRS Scandal a little thing? Dude if you are liberal you should be outraged..to limit free speech which basically the IRS did to hundreds of Conservative groups is sickening. NSA-Lets’ see going after everyday Americans-is what the Patriot Act was designed for. You like your emails checked. The author of the Patriot Act- Sen. Sensebrenner stated that this was not the design of the law. You know having a database on all of us. That includes you you moron. 8% unemployment-let’s see Reagan inherited a much worse economy and it improved and grew and prospered. This makes Bush’s economy look valhalla. Keep on making excuses. I am looking forward to Obamacare as businesses cut hours and people lose their jobs over it. Just what businesses needed to grow and add jobs. Benghazi-if you have no problem with your president lying to you and saying this attack was not a terrorist attack and blamed it on video then this should not bother you in the lest. If you had no problem as brave American’s died as help was told to stand down then this shouldnt bother you in the least. Finally if you agree that this issues are not big deals and Obama is doing a great job then you either a liberal moron or an uniformed jackass..I have a feeling its a little of both. And btw pal played ball in college..come on down and get some!

      • cur68 - Jun 20, 2013 at 5:16 PM

Cohnjusack: Its nice to there are SOME reasonable and intelligent people in that country, Cohn. But, forget this guy “barrywhereUfrom”, eh? He’s an intellectually dishonest clown. He’s been caught in so many lies and contradictions on this board that its pointless engaging him. He’s a simplistic fool with mental problems and he will make up any shit he can think up in an attempt to be perceived better than everyone else. Just ignore him.

    • stlouis1baseball - Jun 20, 2013 at 4:43 PM

“If you had no problem as brave American’s died as help was told to stand down then this shouldnt bother you in the least.”

Don’t confuse them with the facts Barry.
Specifically (although this was absolutely proven) I am sure it was just a small tactical error in their minds. Cause’ again…it’s blasphemy to even question his decisions.
      Much less disagree with them.

I knew Justice Sotomayor was a Yankees fan and was about to quip something about at least 2 Justices on the lands highest bench are smart enough to be big baseball fans. Then I ran across this 2010 article from the NY Times about the current Supreme Court and it’s baseball fans.
    http://www.nytimes.com/2010/06/01/us/01bar.html?_r=0

    • anthonyverna - Jun 20, 2013 at 3:43 PM

My ex-girlfriend is a Mets fan and has a picture of her and Sotomayor right before Sotomayor was confirmed to the Supreme Court. (My ex works in a federal appeals court.) It’s a cool picture, despite having my ex in it.

(And, no, I didn’t dump her for being a Mets fan – though that may be reason enough.)

  4. Old Gator - Jun 20, 2013 at 1:18 PM

Corporatist pig. Mussolini would have adored him.

    • jaaxelson - Jun 20, 2013 at 2:14 PM

this country is too dumb to even know what that means Gator. you’re talking way way over their heads. And for any fan out of Texas you can’t use anything more than monosyllabic words. .

      • cohnjusack - Jun 20, 2013 at 3:01 PM

Don’t insult me. I know what Mussolini is and I think it’s delicious.

      • stex52 - Jun 21, 2013 at 9:57 AM

        Feeling elitist today, yes??

  5. jaaxelson - Jun 20, 2013 at 2:12 PM

what is it with these Rightie Justices? They all have a need to be seen. And this guy above all… why would baseball even let him on the mound?

    • stlouis1baseball - Jun 20, 2013 at 3:28 PM

Really? “Rightie Justices?” You can’t be serious. Nope. Not a chance. I mean…we never see Mario Sotomayor do we? Nope.

John Cusack: Axelson isn’t doing you any favors.

      • historiophiliac - Jun 20, 2013 at 3:37 PM

        Who’s Mario Sotomayor?

      • historiophiliac - Jun 20, 2013 at 3:56 PM

Ok, I googled him and I got a bunch of linkedin accounts. Is it Sonia Sotomayor’s son or something that you’re referring to? I don’t think she’s married.

      • stex52 - Jun 21, 2013 at 10:02 AM

Mario Sotomayor? Isn’t that Bud Scalia’s cousin? Or Harvey Alito’s brother-in-law.
