After two weeks on the DL Pablo Sandoval has been activated by the Giants. To make room for him the Giants optioned Nick Noonan to Fresno. Sandoval hit .289 with eight homers and a .753 OPS in 57 games before the foot injury derailed him.

The Giants have slipped three games back of the Dbacks after dropping two of three to the Marlins. They’ve gone 9-12 in June. They can use all the pop they can get at the moment.

Great news for the Giants. Hopefully he can ignite some form of energy and life back into that team. They most definitely can use his bat. And his play at third isn’t all that bad, either. Just seeing him again in uniform has to be a BIG plus. It’s been an interesting and somewhat trying year so far for a team that just seem’s to defy any normal baseball sense and finds a way at the end to be there.
