Roy Halladay “feels good” long-tossing post-surgery

Roy Halladay, who underwent shoulder surgery in mid-May, has progressed to long-tossing on flat ground from 60 feet.

Halladay told Todd Zolecki of MLB.com that his shoulder “feels good,” but also downplayed the significance of “tossing” as opposed to getting on a mound to actual throw.

According to Zolecki any potential return wouldn’t be until at least August and it’s still very possible that Halladay will miss the remainder of the season.

Or as pitching coach Rich Dubee put it: “He’s a long ways from pitching, but everything so far is going according to plan.”
