Corey Hart to have surgery, is out for the season

Jun 28, 2013, 5:10 PM EDT

Well this makes a bad season in Milwaukee even worse:

“RR” is Brewers manager Ron Roenicke.

The right knee is what had him out until now. The left knee, it seems, was injured due to overcompensating for the right.  What a diaster.

Either way, that means all of 2013 is down the drain for Hart. A guy who Milwaukee needed badly given how awful their first base production has been this year.

What a shitty season for Milwaukee Brewers’ 1Bs. Hope both he and Gamel get back to full strength sometime in the near future.

And he’s a free agent after the season right? That’s a shame.

Some team is going to get a very good player on a cheap 1 year deal though.

        if both knees hold up….

Out for the season but still refusing to take off his sunglasses at night.

Don’t switch the blade on the guy in shades, oh no!

I always liked Corey. Sad to say he’s probably played his last game as a Brewer.

I wouldn’t say that. It probably makes most sense for both parties, if he were to sign a one-year deal back in Milwaukee.

There’s really no point unless the Brewers think they can contend next year and that certainly doesn’t look possible with their team and the teams above them in the division.

      • kollin7 - Jun 28, 2013 at 9:13 PM

Depends on whether or not they think Hunter Morris is ready.

      • brewcrewfan54 - Jun 28, 2013 at 9:57 PM

That could certainly happen but I just don’t think there’s a good reason to give him a deal if they don’t plan on extending him. My guess is it will be Morris and Gamel in camp for the job next year. If I’m wrong it wont be a big deal but that’s my bet. I also say that not knowing exactly what Gamel’s contract situation but I know he’ll be cheap.

What a waste. The Milwaukee fire sale is coming soon, only a few untouchables. Time to build for the future.

Yep back to another 27 straight years of losing.

Ugh. This team stinks. Trade Yo and AmRam. Call up Hunter Morris to play 1st. Call up Nelson, Thornburg, and Jungmann to start. This team is UNWATCHABLE.

Why are there so many incomplete sentences on this site? I’ve never seen such a thing.
